What we produce

We are a full-service production company with an in-house animation studio. Our London team handles every stage of production, development, scripting, directing, cinematography, editing, post-production and delivery, all under one roof.

Our charity work spans:

Fundraising and DRTV films – emotionally led films designed to inspire donations, recruit regular givers and support television and digital fundraising campaigns. Our DRTV campaigns for the RSPCA and Centrepoint have run across broadcast and digital channels, driving measurable fundraising results for two of the UK’s most recognised charities.

Awareness and campaign films – films built to shift perception, change behaviour or mobilise public support around a cause. Our awareness film for Age UK, Florence & Roy, captured the reality of loneliness in older age and ran as both a social campaign and TV advertisement. Our RCN Thank a Nurse film was watched 1.6 million times in 72 hours.

Beneficiary story films – sensitive, human-centred films that put the people your charity serves at the heart of the story. We have filmed beneficiary stories for Shelter, Citizens Advice, Independent Age, Sue Ryder, Dravet Syndrome UK and many others, always with the care, ethical rigour and safeguarding awareness that working with vulnerable contributors demands.

Charity animation – animated films that explain complex issues, communicate sensitive subjects or reach audiences across language barriers. Our charity animations include end of life care for Age UK, animal welfare advocacy for Cruelty Free International and workplace adaptations for the MS International Federation, the last of these produced in 15 languages without voiceover for global distribution.

Multilingual charity films – campaign content produced for distribution across multiple languages and communities. Our Metro Charity SHIFT sexual health campaign was produced in six countries across the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, with local crew and casting in each territory.

Social and digital content – short-form campaign content optimised for social media platforms, designed to drive engagement, sharing and awareness for charity campaigns of all scales.

“Fantastic experience working with this production company on our DRTV ad. Harry & Is are fab and the wider team were professional, efficient, and really understood how to craft a strong direct-response message. The final ad looked great, stayed true to fundraising and the brand, the whole process ran smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommend!”Alessandra Arnott, Arthur London, RSPCA DRTV

Nutmeg were a pleasure to work with at every stage – collaborative, generous with their time, and consistently professional. Working with a vulnerable family, they handled everything with real care and compassion. The finished film speaks for itself – and the industry seems to agree. We’re thrilled to share that it’s a finalist at the Smiley Awards 2026. We’d recommend Nutmeg without hesitation and will absolutely be working with them again“. Tania Lewis, Dravet Syndrome UK

How we work

Every Nutmeg charity production is led by a dedicated producer who stays with you from first conversation through to final delivery. We work collaboratively with communications and fundraising teams – and we know that charity productions often involve working with vulnerable contributors, sensitive subject matter, ethical sign-off requirements and tight budgets. We handle all of that with the care, experience and warmth it deserves.

Development – we start by understanding your brief, your audience and what you need the film to achieve. We’ll develop a creative approach and share a treatment for your feedback before any production begins.

Pre-production – scripting, storyboarding, casting, location sourcing, scheduling and logistics. For beneficiary story films we work closely with your team on contributor care, safeguarding and consent processes from the very beginning.

Production – our in-house crew has twenty years of experience filming in sensitive environments — from hospices and care homes to shelters and food banks. We know how to put contributors at ease and capture authentic, dignified stories.

Post-production – editing, colour grade, sound design, music, motion graphics, subtitles and accessibility versions. You review at each stage via our secure online review system, with time-coded feedback that goes directly to our edit team.

Delivery – final films delivered in every format you need, for broadcast, fundraising platforms, social media, events and grant applications.
