About

Our Story

Who we are

Nutmeg Productions is a London video production company founded over twenty years ago with a simple idea: that great filmmaking should be available to organisations that genuinely need it, not just those with the biggest budgets.Today we’re one of London’s most experienced production companies, specialising in charity, healthcare and corporate film and animation. We’re based in Farringdon, EC1 and a studio in South East London, with an in-house animation studio and a team that handles everything from development and scripting through to post-production and delivery – all under one roof. We’re small enough that you’ll work directly with the people who make your films. And experienced enough that nothing you throw at us will be the first time we’ve done it.

What we
stand for

At heart we are storytellers. We believe that the most powerful films are the ones that are true: to the people in them, to the organisation behind them, and to the audience watching them. That belief shapes everything we make, from a sixty-second DRTV fundraising commercial to a twelve-part multilingual animation series for the NHS.

We also believe that high quality video production shouldn’t be the exclusive preserve of organisations with large budgets. Since Nutmeg launched we have offered one free production day every month to a small charity, bringing the same creative standards we apply to our largest commissions to organisations who need great films but can’t always afford them.

Our experience

Twenty years of production across charity, healthcare and corporate means we’ve developed genuine sector expertise that most production companies simply don’t have.

In charity and not-for-profit video production, we’ve made fundraising films, DRTV campaigns, beneficiary stories, awareness films and animations for organisations including Age UK, the RSPCA, Centrepoint, Shelter, the Royal College of Nursing, British Red Cross, Mind, Independent Age, Citizens Advice and Dravet Syndrome UK.

In healthcare video production, we’ve produced patient information films, NHS recruitment content, public health campaigns, clinical animations and fundraising films for the NHS, Public Health England, Kings College Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, the UK Health Security Agency and many others.

In corporate video production, we’ve produced brand films, employer brand content, educational series, product films and multilingual campaign content for clients including Marks & Spencer, Lloyd’s Register Foundation, Farrer & Co, Houzz, Farnborough Airport, Penguin Random House and the British Council.
