The Client
Gama Healthcare is one of the UK’s leading infection control companies, founded in 2004 by two doctors at the Royal Free Hospital in London, Guy Braverman and Allen Hanouka. What began as a clinical insight into the gaps in hospital hygiene practice has grown into a global business whose products, including the Clinell range, are used extensively across the NHS and healthcare settings worldwide. Their founding story is unusual in the sector: a company built by clinicians who understood the problem from the inside before they set out to solve it.
The Brief
Gama Healthcare needed films that could do two distinct jobs simultaneously. For their website, they needed content that communicated who they are, the clinical origins of the company, the expertise behind the products, the people who built it. For their sales team, they needed something more targeted: films that could sit inside a sales conversation and demonstrate the products in real use, in the actual clinical environments where they matter.
The challenge was making both work within the same production. A brand film that works on a website can feel too broad for a sales tool. A product demonstration that works in a sales context can feel too narrow for a general audience. Getting the tone right across both required a clear editorial structure from the outset.
The Approach
We filmed across two main settings. At Gama Healthcare’s offices, we interviewed the two founders, Guy Braverman and Allen Hanouka, about the origins of the company, the clinical insight that drove it, and what infection control actually means in practice in a hospital environment. Their story is compelling: two doctors who saw a problem at first hand and built a business to solve it. That narrative is far more persuasive than any product claim, and the interviews gave us the spine of both films.
The second setting was a hospital, where we filmed a nurse practitioner using Clinell products in the field, the wipes, the disinfectants, the room-cleaning systems in actual clinical use. We also filmed the Clinell disinfection bomb, which cleans and decontaminates an entire hospital room, demonstrating on screen what the product range is capable of in ways that words and specifications alone can’t.
The combination of founder interviews and real clinical footage gave the films both credibility and specificity. The founder story establishes why Gama Healthcare exists and why it can be trusted. The hospital footage shows what that trust looks like in practice.
The Result
The two films serve the brief they were built for. On the Gama Healthcare website they communicate the company’s clinical origins and the depth of expertise behind the product range. In a sales context they give the team a tool that demonstrates the products in the environments their clients know best, hospital wards, clinical settings, the daily reality of infection control on an NHS unit.
For a company whose products are trusted across the NHS, a film that shows that trust in practice, a real nurse, real products, a real clinical setting, carries something that specification sheets or brochure can’t replicate.
