The Client
The Department of Education runs the Change4Life and Start4Life programmes, helping parents and carers across the country access practical, healthy guidance for feeding their families.
The Brief
We were commissioned to create a series of top-down recipe films for the Better Health campaign, encouraging and inspiring parents to cook healthy meals for their children.
The Approach
The series brought together recipes from South Asian and African cuisines — including Maraq Fahfah, a Somali soup; Asaro, a Nigerian yam casserole; Deresh curry; and Bajan fish — reflecting the genuine diversity of the families the campaign needed to reach. Getting that right meant sourcing ingredients and props from a number of different shops and markets, since the variety and specificity of each cuisine demanded real care to make sure everything on screen was culturally accurate. Our two in-house Home Economists were the hands behind every dish, working through each recipe in a classic, instructional style designed for a straightforward, easy-to-follow viewing experience.
