Filming a Signature Drinks Launch

The Client

Martini is one of the world’s most recognisable drinks brands, with their signature vermouth enjoyed in bars and homes right across the globe.

The Brief

Martini wanted a film promoting new ways to enjoy their signature vermouth, with a tight 14-day turnaround and a requirement to film across five capital cities in five different languages.

The Approach

We filmed in London, Barcelona, St Petersburg, New York and Milan, working with local fixers in each city abroad to source the right venues and round up local talent for each party – always looking for something genuinely eye-catching, like the rooftop bar we found in London. The real highlight of the shoot, though, was a detour to the Martini distillery in Turin, where we met and interviewed the only two people in the world who actually know the Martini recipe, touring the distillery with them on camera as they talked us through the brand’s history and craft.

It was a genuinely demanding shoot — five parties to film across five different countries with an edit, flights to coordinate, carnets needed just to carry our kit across each border, and language barriers to navigate at every stop. All in 14 days! Exhausting, but worth every bit of it for the result.

The Result

The finished film was shown at Martini’s worldwide staff AGM.
