Empathy Day: Promotional Film

The Brief

Puffin Books wanted to highlight their partnership with Empathy Lab and its campaign to highlight how books can teach children empathy. The campaign was focused on R.J. Palacio’s book ‘Wonder’, and our brief was to inspire parents to introduce their children to reading.

The Films

Inspired by the success of Channel 4’s The Secret Life of 4 Year Olds, we run a full-day of immersive workshops for children, using specially-created character costumes from favourite Puffin books. Working with a specialist children’s theatre practitioner, we devised games that encouraged the children to take on the roles of different characters, filming them as they did so. Our document of the day, including interviews with the kids, created a playful and shareable social media film.
